Golfers will be amazed at the views and quality of the Llanymynech golf course built on top of Llanymynech rock. This superb course, known locally as "The Hill", was where Ian Woosnam learned his game. The Golf club is on the ridge half a mile above the cottage.

A real favourite of ours, with horse drawn canal boats and an adventure centre with White water rafting and Rock climbing. Llangollen nestles within the beautiful Dee Valley in the North East of Wales. It is a town of varied parts, with plenty to interest the most discerning of visitors.

The Old Roman town of Chester is just 20 miles away. Whether it's shopping, sightseeing, history, a day at the races or a visit to the zoo, Chester is well worth a visit.
Portmeirion Village - 70 miles
This unique village is set on its own private peninsula on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was created by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis between 1883 and 1978 to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful place could be developed without spoiling it. This is where "The Prisoner" was filmed in the 1960s on North Wales coast about one and a half hours drive.
